What happened here, on a historic ranch outside Nashville, during the Civil War? And what’s happening now?

Olivia Gordon works at the Horse Farm, a facility that assists patients with mental and physical recovery; her specialty is animal therapy. She’s always loved her job, always felt safe…until now.

People are dying, starting with the facility’s founder, whose body is discovered in a ravine on the property—site of a massacre in 1862. And before every death, Liv sees a horse and rider, wearing a soldier’s garb, in the night sky…. Warning? Omen? Or clue?

Liv calls in her cousin Malachi and his Krewe, an FBI unit of paranormal investigators, to discover the truth. New Krewe member Dustin Blake knows they need Liv’s involvement in the case, yet he’s worried about her safety. Because he and Liv quickly become more than colleagues…and he doesn’t want to lose her to the endless night.

About Sleep with the Lights On:sleep-with-the-lights-on

Through the eyes of a killer…

Rachel de Luca has found incredible success writing self-help books. But her own blindness and the fact that her troubled brother has gone missing have convinced her that positive thinking is nothing but bull.

Her cynicism wavers when a cornea transplant restores her sight. The new eyes seem to give her new life, until they prove too good to be true and she starts seeing terrifying visions of brutal murders—crimes she soon learns are all too real.

Detective Mason Brown’s own brother recently died, leaving behind a horrific secret. In atonement, Mason donated his brother’s organs, though he’s kept the fact quiet. Now he wants to help Rachel find her brother, but when he discovers the shocking connection between her visions and his own brother, he suddenly has to do everything in his power to save her from a predator who is somehow still hunting from beyond the grave.

About Claimed by the Demon:claimed-by-the-demon

A blade wanted his soul…but she wanted his heart in Doranna Durgin’s Claimed by the Demon

They are both drawn to the city of Albuquerque by forces they do not understand…forces that require their submission—or their death.

Thrown together by violence, in a city being driven mad with hate, their connection—emotional and physical—is immediate, and fierce. They don’t know the rules of this deadly game, only the penalty for losing. Gwen and Mac need to trust each other to survive—but the secrets they carry may destroy them first.

  1. Jacqueline

I’d have the ability to morph because I’d want to try being different animals and people.

  2. I would like the power to bestow power in other people. Imagine what everyone could accomplish if all of a sudden they got a kick start in energy or luck or confidence and things started going ‘right’ all of a sudden. It’s the kind of momentum that might carry on beyond that one day and change someone’s life.

  3. I would love to have the ability to stop time. I always feel like I don’t have enough time in the day. If I could just stop time and sleep and eat then I could spend the rest of my day doing meaningful things instead of wasting time on menial tasks.

  4. I would love to be able to fly. Or shapeshift!

  5. Cyndee Martin

I would love to be able to manipulate others thoughts. Change bad mood to good ones, change the way others feel about you, that kind of manipulation. I don’t always want to read minds, So I am willing to leave that out.

  6. Devin Diggs

I would like to have the ability to fly like the birds, so I can feel the wind blowing through my hair as I soar high above the trees and see the world as birds do and have the ability to lift myself into the air at any given moment.

  7. I’d like to have the ability to control temperature. i’d be able to freeze or boil water, i’d be able to control a part of the wind, because i would be able to create low-presure or high-pressure. i could create fog, so i could hide when i wanted that, or i could turn rain to snow! that would be cool! no more cold showers of melting ice-cream! no more freezing toes because of a day in to show! the possibilities are endless!

  8. Danielle B.

I’ve always wanted to control the weather and temperature. That would be an awesome super power.

  9. I’d want the Midas touch. (with the ability to turn it on and off as i choose so no one gets turned to gold) I’d help not only myself but other people be set financially for the rest of thier lives.

  10. Melissa Tackett

I would love the have the ability to speed-read books like Data from Star Trek Next Generation.

If I could speed-read books for a day, I would read as many books as I could get my hands on. I would spend the entire day in the medical section of the library to try to make as many medical connections as I could. Imagine being able to read every single book on an entire subject in one day! If one person could read all of the medical knowledge in the world, wouldn’t that lead to better professional care from that person?

  11. I would like to be able to shape shift so I could enjoy flying like a bird, running like a deer, stalking like a cat – or catching people talking about me.

I would love to have the power to manipulate all five elements- Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Heart/Spirit.

  13. If I could get a power for a day I would choose a healing power. Even if for 24h you could just imagine how much it could change in so many people lives.

  14. Caitlin Graf

I would want to be able to teleport at will without any negative consequences to me or anyone else so I could travel to new places in the blink of an eye!

  15. Mind reading, or mind control 😀 either one of those would probably be fun to have for a day if used wisely.

  16. My power would be to take away the suffering of children…those who have been touched by cancer and other life threatening and debilitating diseases and those who have only known poverty, war, sorrow and death. It would be gratifying to know that you could be responsible for making their lives better.

  17. The total manipulation of technology would be in my opinion, a valuable power. Judging from the world we now live in, technology dominates our lives.

  18. I just want a perfect memory and learn things really fast.

  19. I would love the power to speak any language across the globe. The ability to communicate with different cultures would be fascinating, for then I would be able to understand people completely different from myself and I would be able to learn new things about their lives and about the world.

  20. Misty Blankenship

I would love to control time. Let the good times last longer and speed through the bad ones.

  21. I’d like the ability to manipulate time because there always seems to be more to do than I can get done in a day.

  22. melissa pinto

I would like the power to heal people’s body, mind, & heart. To help someone who is filled with sorrow or body with disease . To be able to bring people peace of mind would be wonderful.

  23. Super speed! You get to run really fast and eat anything you want because you burn so many calories. Plus you can be anywhere across the country on minutes. Saves time and money 🙂

  24. I would want the power to heal. It’s the only power I don’t think could have negative results or would tempt me to misuse my power lol

  25. Robin C. Greene

I’d want the ability to heal people or myself.

  26. I would love the ability to read minds but only for one day. I think it would get tiresome to have always, but for a day I could really find some stuff out!!! 🙂

  27. Dawn Moore

I’ve always wanted the ability to read peoples thoughts… And mind control… I think it would be good to know the truth about people, and mind control males world domination easier :-p
