by Karen Whiddon, author of The Wolf Princess (Part of The Pack series, Harlequin Nocturne, October 2012)
This October has been a busy month for me – not only is my newest Pack Nocturne The Wolf Princess out, but I did (for the first time) an online read for the Harlequin web site. The third chapter of Wolf Dreams is up today, so please check it out at Harlequin.com. I had a lot of fun writing that short story, and it’s also Pack, so if you enjoy my Pack books, you should like it.
I wanted to talk a little bit about the fictional kingdom in those stories (and The Wolf Prince which will be coming in April 2013). It’s a place called Teslinko, near the sea and mountains, and modeled a bit after how I imagine Croatia would be. The people there have ties to the earth and the veil between the human world and that of the Fae and Mer people is thin. My shape-shifters are from a long line of royalty, and I so enjoyed taking the world of The Pack and translating it to an European-style royalty. Fun! Add to that the Fairy people who (hint, hint) pay a visit in The Wolf Prince, and you got some fun matches!
I hope you agree.
Thanks again for all the emails and Facebook messages regarding my Pack books! I really appreciate each and every one of you who take the time to write!
