Win the First Three Royal House of Shadows Books!

by Amy Wilkins, Harlequin Digital

Later this month, the third and final novel in Harlequin Nocturne’s Royal House of Shadows quartet will be released. Lord of the Abyss by New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh hits shelves (and ebook stores) on November 22.

Miss the first 3 books in the series? You can still find them online in both print and ebook but here’s your chance to get them FREE — we’re giving away a set to a lucky commenter!

Prize includes 1 print copy each of:

Lord of the Vampires by Gena Showalter

Lord of Rage by Jill Monroe

Lord of the Wolfyn by Jessica Andersen

Each of the Royal House of Shadows books were inspired by a different fairy tale (click the links on the book titles above or visit our miniseries site to find out which story inspired each author). So to enter the giveaway, we’d like to know which story inspires you. Leave a comment answering this question: If you were to write a fifth Royal House of Shadows book, which fairy tale would you base it on?

Rules: The contest will close on Wednesday, November 16 at noon EST. Open to residents of the United States and Canada only. For full official rules, click here.

Good luck!

UDPATE: The giveaway is now closed, and the winner has been announced in the comments.

  1. I’d imagine mine as Snow White and Seven Hot,,I mean Dwarves ;)

Seven men to choose from, only one’s a prince–it’s up to our lovely White to choose which one.

    It’s perfect!

  2. Candy Gorcsi

I’m kinda partial to Beauty and the Beast but since that was done, Cinderella comes in at a close second.
It has so many realistic elements to it that everyone can relate to the hardships and wanting to meet Prince Charming to take you away from it all!

I would choose The Princess and Pea. I’ve always loved the story because there is a lot of mystery remaining about who the princess is. I think the pea is only the beginning.

  4. I would pick Cinderella. I really like it in all the versions I have seen.

Since my fav beauty and the beast was already covered, my second would have to be snow white. Awesome giveaway. Thanks for the chance.

  6. Beauty and the Beast for me. I like seeing the Beast reformed :) Thank you for the wonderful giveaways. All these authors are knew to me but I have heard great things about their books.

  7. Colleen C.

The Princess and the Pea would be interesting… or Rupunzel…
This looks like a great series that I need to add to my list!

  8. I think I would write the fifth book based on Snow White. That has always been my favorite fairy tale.

  9. I like Beauty and the Beast but since that’s been done, probably Sleeping Beauty. The idea of waking up to the one person who made it through so many obstacles to find you just seems so fairy tale-esque and fun.

  10. Wow! There are so many fairy tales to choose from! While I love the ones already chosen, I think I’d have to pick Sleeping Beauty. I haven’t seen anything recently with that story so I think I’d like to read that one. :) I LOVE The storys already!! :)

  11. I am particularly partial to Cinderella. I like the idea of the underdog winning in the end and the “terds” getting a taste of their own medicine. This could be a really interesting tale to twist into a paranormal!

  12. Definitely Cinderella.

  13. I think I would choose The Frog Prince. Having the hero and heroine be from such different backgrounds creates tension. The story would be full of conflict but in the end they would realize they need each other.

  14. Barbara Elness

I would choose Cinderella because I’ve always loved that story. It already has a paranormal twist with the fairy godmother and her magic pumpkin coach, and I’d like to see what other twists an author could come up with to fit in with the theme of the Royal House of Shadows series.

LOL I would write Cinderella. Knowing with my mind I could envision some very hot and intense scenes of the prince being very alpha with her. Yummy! LOL!

    Thanks for this giveaway!

  16. The little mermaid :)

  17. I’d probably go for Rapunzel :) How would the world look to someone who was shut off in the tower? That would be what I’d base the fifth book on :)

Thanks for the lovely giveaway. Count me in. judimello AT gmail DOT com

  18. Anya Sandoval

I would go for The Frog Prince. Definitely love the major opposite attracts going on here. :)

  19. I think I would have to choose The Little Mermaid. To have the story be set at least in part (a greater part) under the ocean would be interesting. :)

    Thanks for this giveaway!

  20. I think Rapunzel would be fun. Not too much done with that fairy tale that I can think of. Would be cute to see how one of those fab authors could um..spin it *G*.

  21. Tracey McCorkle

    Snow White or Cinderella

  22. Rumpelstiltskin… talk about creepy elements in that one!

  23. There are already two different Snow White movies coming out next year, I think I’ll have to go with Cinderella.

  24. I’m going with Cinderella. But wouldn’t be cool if the roles were switched? The “Prince” can be the step-son and Cinderella can be the Princess looking for the man who wore glass…um, I don’t know! Either way I love Cinderellas tale. :)

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  25. The frog prince it just seems more fun and funny to fall in love with a frog lol

  26. My favorite fairy tale is the Swan Princess. It’s about love and forgiveness and true love to break an enchantment.

It has been my favorite since I have seen the Russian ballet performing it.

  27. jennifer mathis

hansel and gretel would be my pick

    meandi09@yahoo.com

  28. Dee Solberg

I like the idea of Rumplestiltskin being a complex, brooding character that seems evil at first…and morphs into a lonely, bitter hunk that just needs some TLC :D

  29. Woot! What a fun giveaway! Thanks :)

I’d have to go with the Little Mermaid, but as a twist I’d make the prince a sexy merman…hmm, might have to change the title :D

The underwater scenes would be ubercool!
