Meet Thor Kensington, Hero of Georgia Tribell’s DEMON LOVE

by Georgia Tribell, author of Demon Love (Harlequin Nocturne Bites, May 2011)

Hello –

I’m Georgia Tribell, author of Demon Love, here to share with you a very intriguing interview done by my friend, Bianca Newton, an outstanding journalist for Demon News.  She’s managed to wrangle an interview from Thor Kensington a Torlin native and a member of the Houston based Demon Hunters organization.  I hope you enjoy this exclusive interview by Bianca Newton.

Take it away, Bianca.

Bianca Newton: Thank you for taking the time to do this today, Mr. Kensington.

Thor Kensington: I assure you the pleasure is all mine, Bianca, and please – call me Thor.

Bianca: Oh my. Well then, Thor, my audience is dying to know how Earth and Torlin differ.

Thor: Torlin is a planet of darkness. For every day cycle we only have a few precious hours of light and even then those few hours are more like dawn here on Earth. The sunshine is one of the reasons the demon population hasn’t spread far from the portals. It is helping to keep the demons contained to a small area making it easier to find and eliminate them.

Bianca: I understand you are half-demon.

Thor: Half-demon, yes, on my father’s side.

Bianca: Does it bother you to hunt your own kind?

Thor: Just as there are good and evil humans, there are good and evil demons. Unfortunately, most humans are not equipped to defend themselves from a demon attach. That is where we step in. We put ourselves between the humans and those demons determined to do bad.

Bianca: It is rumored that sunlight can kill the demons. If this is true, doesn’t it bother you?

Thor: If it was that easy to destroy the demons there would be no reason for us to be here, but I’m afraid that isn’t true. Those of us who are half-demon have found that our eyes are hyper-sensitive to the sunlight, but a good pair of sunshades cures the problem. Considering most of us work nights and spend the day in bed, it’s seldom a problem – especially with the right company.

Bianca: Now there is an image I need not think about. How does Houston compare to a major town on Torlin?

Thor: Torlin is dense with foliage much like the rainforest of South America. It is a constant battle to keep the plants from taking over and don’t forget on Torlin we live with the threat of a Demon attack at any time. Therefore our cities are enclosed in high fortress style walls and too keep the demons and foliage at bay. Torlin has high-rises, schools, parks, transportation and all the other things needed for a good life. The two worlds aren’t really that different when you get down to the basics of day-to-day living.

Bianca: Well, that’s good to know should I ever get a chance to visit. What do you find most fascinating about our world?

Thor: Two things come to mind. Your cars, especially the ones called classic muscle cars. There’s nothing on Torlin with that kind of raw all consuming power.

Bianca: And the other thing?

Thor: The woman, of course. I’m intrigued by the combination of loyalty, bravery and pure sexuality that many of you posses.

Bianca: Now that you brought up the subject. I hear there is a woman whom you work with that interest you? I believe her name is Kendra Morton.

Thor: There are strict policies about relationships between team members, Ms. Newton. Feelings don’t have a place out on the streets when fighting demons. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have work to do.

Bianca’s Afterthoughts: Well, our interview was interrupted when Thor took an emergency phone call and bolted from the room. By the look on his face, I’d say the call was about someone Thor cares about, and not just as a co-worker.

I know many of you are wondering what I thought of Thor after chasing him all these months (for the sole purpose an interview – get your minds out of the bedroom) and let me tell you the man didn’t disappoint. His name alone invokes images of the strong, sexy, take no prisoners type of man. He is all of this and so much more. When you add his tall muscular body, black hair, onyx colored eyes and a smile that makes you want to toss caution to the wind and run for the nearest bed – it’s quite titillating. I do believe Thor has a few lessons to learn about what love will do to those strict workplace policies. The woman who manages to teach him these lessons will need to be as strong and confident as he is – but she will never doubt her place in this demon’s heart.

Until next time – remember, there’s nothing like dark chocolate and a few naughty thoughts!

I hope all of you enjoyed Bianca’s interview and I happen to know from my own inside source that Kendra Morton is the reason Thor left so quickly. If you’re interested in learning more about Thor’s love life and what happens to those work place rules, then check out Demon Love, where you’ll meet Thor and a few of his very sexy counterparts from Torlin.

Hope you enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. This was a fun story to write. I loved having the ability to bring in totally ‘out there’ ideas.
