Hi folks!  It’s wonderful to be here at the Paranormal Romance blog. Its launch day for my Spice novel, RAMPANT, and I’m excited!

RAMPANT was inspired by a place—the East Neuk of Fife in Lowlands Scotland. The Fife coastline is a beautiful, magical and sometimes eerie place. It has a rich history of the paranormal and, in particular, witchcraft. It also has a rather gruesome history of condemnation and persecution that is quite shocking to read. A few years back we rented a cottage in Fife. The plan was that I would work on my current project while Mark, my Real Life Hero, went cycling. I’m afraid I didn’t get much work done on the story I already had on my laptop, because my imagination was set loose by the landscape, the atmosphere, and the history of the place I was in. I began to wonder who might have lived in the pretty fisherman’s cottage we had rented. I started scribbling notes for research and story ideas. RAMPANT is the result!

When I think about what appeals to me about the paranormal world, it’s very much a combination of fascination and fear, the allure of the unknown, and the possibility that there is a whole other world that exists alongside ours.  Ghosts, witchcraft, and the possibility of seeing into another dimension captivate me.

All of these things and more become very real for Zoë Daniels, the unsuspecting heroine of RAMPANT. Zoë is a Londoner and a skeptic, and she’s not looking for the supernatural when she arrives in Carbrey. She is, however, eager for a bit of an adventure, which is just as well!  Within just a few hours of her arrival in Her Haven, the cottage she has rented, she is introduced to witchcraft, erotic magic, and a ghost who shares powerful erotic visions with her. Luckily for Zoë, her attractive academic neighbor, Grayson Murdoch, is on hand to help out.

Grayson is a white witch and he has several reasons for being in Carbrey. He wants to know why Her Haven is full of psychic activity all of a sudden, why members of the local coven are skulking around after our tourist, Zoë, and what the ghost of the long dead witch, Annabel McGraw, has to do with it all.

Did I mention the sexmagic? :-) The witches of Fife source their magic from the natural world and from the elements – as well as from the intense magnetic energy that evolves from attraction, desire, and lovemaking.

Poor Zoë, erotic visions, talk of possession, and sexmagic. It’s a lot for a girl to take on all at once. Luckily Grayson is a very convincing lover. Oops, I meant tutor. :-)

I’ve got a signed copy of RAMPANT to give away. Leave a comment here on the blog for your chance to win.

(Edited to add: the contest is now closed. Virginia C was the lucky winner — Virginia, please email  Saskiawalker (AT) gmail . com (with no gaps) with your postal address to receive your book!)
