1. I slay all the big baddies in my house. Just the other day, I killed the closet monster with the handle of a broom. I am way skilled with a spatula and a vacuum cleaner. I also can maim anything with my bare hands. That spider trying to take over the house, didn’t have a chance with me around. And don’t even get me started on those dust bunnies living and multiplying under the sofa. They are tricksome little creatures, but I will find a way to defeat them and save the day. I may or may not ask my significant other for help. I would kind of like to do it myself to prove how strong, independent and kick-ass I am.
2. The sun is not my friend. In fact, I wear sunglasses around in the house because of the UV rays. They might in fact burn me to ashes in I come in direct contact. I thrive in the dark. That is where I can actually be myself. Shrouded in shadows is where I do my best work. The night is my friend and I’d never give it up. Well, for love I might. But it would have to be really good love, with a lot of hot sex too. And I mean HOT sex.
3. I believe in fate. I know that my destiny has been written. I just have to find the right book, or amulet, or ancient scroll that it’s foretold on. Then I can go on my quest to save the world. Which very well may include closing the gate to hell, or another realm.But knowing I have my loyal companions by my side, and the love of my life, I can do anything. I can kick that Queen of Darkness’s ass any day of the week.
I was asked this a while ago, and I thought it was funny and interesting. I’d have to say from all that, I am most like a vampire. Or a half vampire demon slayer. I am definitely not anything like my lastest heroine, Fiona Woodland. She’s a witch, a good earth bound witch. She’s quirky and fun but most definitely believes in fate. And in the story The Bewitching Hour, she believes fate has brought her Hector Morales, the dogged crime scene investigator from San Antonio, who has helped Caine and his team on several occasions.

The paranormal creature that I’m most like? Uh… that would be a ghost, or spirit. Someone who can remain invisible so that I can see all that’s going on without being noticed ~ it was super talent to have when my little ones were little ones… now they’re all grown up, but it’s amazing sometimes how I can still know what’s going on with them. Freaks ‘em out no end.
Of course it would be even better if I could use my powers for being invisibile when I want to sit on my own and read, or nap, but a helpful spirit needs must, at times, be visible to offer their guidance or just be there.

I would have to go with Vampire if I had to pick one. I am a creature of the night who avoids the sun as much as possible due to pale skin that tends to burn and my all night writing habits leave my eyes sensitive to bright lights. I love my meat more on the rare side…LOL… and I do like to bite and nibble on the neck of my mate. LOL. Great post and I always love your books, Vivi!

Great blog! I think if I were to be a paranormal creature, it would be a witch. Who else could conjure kiddo a pair of reindeer antlers from a hairband and some sticks? or magically come up with 60 christmas cookies with only four hours to spare?

I’d have to say a vamp, being a night owl since I was a kid, I seem to function and do everything better at night. I can take care of spiders but struggle with those dust bunnies, too, Vivi, lol.

I think I’m most like a werewolf. I’m very territorial (I like everything in its place and hate when people move my stuff). I also can get a tad bit vocal when I feel any of my friends or family being taken advantage of.

I wish I could say some sort of goreous elf-like creature, but it just isn’t me. So I’d have to pick a good solid earth witch. Grounded and intuitive, solid and faithful. The one that folks turn to for help.

I’m probably most like a vampire slayer. I kill all the bad things in my house & take care of everyone. I like the daytime, but I work best at night and on my own. I use my super powers for good, instead of evil and I go by the code name “Mom”.

I can’t decide between witch and elf. I like to “heal”, I’ve been an EMT/firefighter, but I also believe in the power of the elements… IDK but it’s got me thinking and that’s a good thing.

Werewolf. Fiercely loyal to those I love, enjoy a run through the woods now and then, get cranky a few days a month, and some nights I’d like nothing better than to curl up with a good book.

A shapeshifter like a werewolf , werecat, weretiger, etc. I love the feral aspect. I love that losing yourself to mere instincts is considered normal. I sniffed my husband like crazy years before I ever read paranormal books. I can drown myself in his natural smell. YUmOoOOo. I am from Hawaii and so we are very close with one another… very tightly knit. I love domestication. And I would adore cooking for a pack of hungry Shifters. Everything about being close and having a bond is appealing to me!=)
