Author Cynthia Cooke fell for a demon–make that a couple–in TV shows like Charmed and Supernatural. Now demons play a role in her new Silhouette Nocturne Bite story HIS MAGIC TOUCH. Read on as Cynthia tells about some of her favorite demons–and demon hunters…. by Cynthia Cooke, author of HIS MAGIC TOUCH
Who could not have watched Julian McMahon as Balthazar the half-demon who lost his heart to a witch on Charmed and not have fallen in love with the man…er–beast?
I did and ever since demons have held a VERY special place in my heart.
Especially, Trent Drouillard, the half-demon from my new story, His Magic Touch, a Nocturne Bite released today! In this story set deep in a Louisiana swamp, Trent looks human, acts human, but has a very sexy demon side lurking within him. A side that gives him the ability to sense other demons, and they in return can sense him . . . and want him.
Only not in the same way as my heroine, Sera.
No matter how much she tries to fight it, she can’t stop wanting him. Of course, she has no idea he can influence how she feels with his slightest touch. Which he has no qualms about using to his wicked advantage. You have to love a guy who doesn’t stop until he gets what he wants!
For Instance, who here was lucky enough to watch the short-lived BBC show Hex? Azazeal brought new meaning to the term HOT! He was ruthless in his pursuit of poor Cassie. It was the only time in history I felt compelled to write a movie studio and demand the return of my favorite demon. Just thinking about him and I have to start fanning myself.
And what about all those Supernatural fans out there? Some of those demons can be pretty hunky! And what about Sam drinking demon blood? I have to admit, I LIKED him while he was taking a walk on the wild side, drinking the forbidden and doing the nasty with Ruby. He was exciting, dangerous…unpredictable. We never knew what he would do next, whose side he would be on, whose war he would fight.
And while it’s true I also write about vampires – love my Vamps – I always manage to work a demon in there—my all-time ultimate bad boys.

Can’t wait to read this story! Awesome cover, C!
Thanks, Michele! I think Harlequin’s Art Dept has done a fabulous job with all the Nocturne and Bite covers! I’m so thrilled with it!
Cynthia, I’ve missed ALL of these shows. The only good demon I’ve seen was Doyle on Angel, and he was more adorable than hot. Oh, and the gay demons on Reaper, who were also more adorable than hot. Sigh. Obviously I need to read your book! : )
LOL!!! Girl, you need to spend some time online!! Though I do remember Doyle, and loved him — though , hot? — not much! I really did want to see him and Cordie get together, but then he had to go sacrifice himself for the greater good. See, this is why I love demons, you just never know . . .
I love the cover, too, and totally agree with you about “Charmed.” I loved it when Cole was in the story line.
Hot, hot, hot!! Just like your writing!
Thanks, Judy!!
Oh, I just loved Cole. I SO wanted him to have a happy ending. And then they went and messed that up. He wanted to be good and loved. He truly did. He couldn’t help that he was a demon at heart.
I look forward to your demon stories, Cynthia! His Magic Touch is on my must-read list. Congratulations!
YES! You totally get it! Another fellow demon-lover at heart. I still mourn poor Cole, trapped in wo-knows-where. I should totally write his story! LOL! Thanks so much!!!
Cynthia, the story looks really exciting. I love the book trailer you have up on your site. Can’t wait to read HIS MAGIC TOUCH!
Thanks so much, Jenna!
Can you beleive my teenager made that video?! I’m completely amazed. And I’m on You Tube — how cool is that? Hope you enjoy my delicious demon!!
never did
