  2. Henry Fitzroy from the Blood Ties TV series and the novels by Tanya Huff.

Because finally – there’s a guy who is comfortable being a vampire. He lives on blood, feeds on live humans, but has the restraint to stop before killing them. And since he feeds during sex, he definitely leaves the ‘victims’ wanting more ;-)

And the actor who portrays Henry, Kyle Schmid – he’s perfect in the role.

  3. My favorite vampire is Henry Fitzroy on Blood Ties.

  4. Henry Fitroy from Lifetime’s Blood Ties would have to be my all time favorite. He brought the art of romance back to TV, even if it was only for a short time. Kyle Schmid portrayed Henry Fitzroy as an aristrocrat with just the perfect mix of arrogance, old world charm and he was just plain damn dead sexy!!! There is a scene called the sniffing scene that I believe is still up on YouTube. All you have to do is look at that to know why so many of us feel that Henry is the best vampire, old or new. Better yet, go to the Lifetime website and pull up the first episode. Audiences are introduced to Henry in a rather unusual way and he just takes your breath away.

One of Kyle’s co-stars said that Kyle was perfect for the part as he is Sex-on-Two-Legs, which is what you need for a vampire. Henry wore his heart on his sleeve for Vicki but she couldn’t pick between Henry and her ex-boyfriend Mike Celluci which is how they ended the show which literally broke many of our hearts as there were so many stories that could have been told.

Sooo with all that being said, hands down, today, tomorrow and always, my favorite vampire would be Henry Fitroy as portrayed by Kyle Schmid. I can’t think of anyone who is better.

  5. Definitely Kyle Schmid as Henry Fitzroy from the Blood Ties series. The way that Kyle portrayed Henry, made you fall in love with him. He made you feel every emotion he went through. And as Anne said, finally a vampire who’s comfortable with being so. One who relishes every fact of the vampire life. From the sweet seduction of a woman(which Kyle pulled off extremely well)*dreaming*…. sorry, what was I saying? Oh yeah.. to a good fight with a demon. Not to mention the fact that Kyle is beyond gorgeous. Henry Fitzroy, absolutely my favorite vampire.

  6. Most definitely Henry Fitzroy of Blood Ties, for the very reasons the other ladies have listed. Not only for the character, but also for the actor who portrayed him on TV, Kyle Schmid.

  7. Hands down, my favorite vampire is Henry Fitzroy, as played by Kyle Schmid, from the Lifetime series Blood Ties. Seriously everyone, if you haven’t seen this show, you should before it’s gone for good. I can only echo what the others have said. This young man did an outstanding job of bringing Henry to life. Kyle brought a maturity, dignity, and poise to the role that was amazing for someone so young. And did I mention he oozes sensuality?

So my vote for favorite vampire is for Henry Fitzroy as portrayed by Kyle Schmid. He can bite my neck anytime!

  8. Definitely Edward Cullen from Twilight,New Moon,Eclipse,Breaking Dawn and the upcoming Midnight Sun =DDD

  9. My favourite vampire is Henry Fitzroy from Blood Ties. The way the actor Kyle Schmid portrayed him was outstanding.

  10. My favourite vampire is Henry Fitzroy from the Blood Ties TV series.

  11. My favorite is definitely Henry Fitzroy of the TV Series BLOOD TIES–A highly evolved 450 year old vamp–cultured, charming, civilized, and very, very sexy.

He has learned to embrace what he is and when possible use it for good. He lures his victims with sex, never taking more than is necessary and leaving them wanting for more in return.

And though he is a creature of the night, his capacity to love has no bounds. This is definitely one vamp with “standards”.

And Kyle Schmid, who plays Henry Fitzroy, does an incredible job with this multi-dimensional character.

  12. I love Henry the vampire from Blood Ties the Lifetime series. He portrayed a very sophisticated and romantic type of vampire, but he also had his wild side.

  13. did you see Henry Fitzroy?
From the serial Blood Ties, taked by books of Tanya Huff?
He’s handsome! He’s a vampire that live is life, whitout regrets, with passion and love.
    Charming, beautiful, perfect.
Kyle Schmit give him life, and, sorry for the other actors, but..I never see a man so perfect.

  14. Kyle Schmid as Henry Fitzroy. He was absolutely, without a doubt the sexiest vampire to EVER grace a screen. One look from that man is hot enough to steam drapes! He did an incredible job as Henry Fitzroy on Blood Ties.

Well looks like Henry Fitzroy is the runaway winner on a write-in ballot!

Have you all read the books as well as watch the series? How does the TV Henry compare to Henry from the Blood books?
    ~Amy

  16. Amy – I have read both the books and watched the series and I think TV Henry wins.

When I read the novels I loved Henry, but I kinda imagined him as a young and shorter version of Eric Stoltz – I’m glad the didn’t try to match that look on TV.

Even author Tanya Huff now thinks the character in her novels look like Kyle Schmid ;-)

I wish I could post pictures here, but you can go the kyleschmidcentral dot com and take a look at the Blood Ties promo images and you will see what we mean.

  17. Henry Fitzroy of the series Blood Ties. As portrayed by Kyle Schmid, Henry has just the right balance of devastating charm, sharp wit, and romance. His background as an illegitimate prince gives him the dignity and courtliness to perfectly temper his vampiric nature.

  18. Agreed- I have also read the books; in this case tv Henry is the true prince! ;)
And thanks to author Tanya Huff for creating him!

  19. Who is Count St. Germaine from the Yarbo novels? I’ve have not read.

My favorite it still Angel, but I do enjoy the humor found in the Betsy novels.

  20. While I like all those vampires listed. Some of my other favorites are:

Bill Compton (True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse Series)
    Mick St. John (Moonlight)
    Henry Fitzroy (Blood Ties)
    Jean-Claude (Anita Blake Series)

  21. Definitely Kyle Schmid as Henry Fitzroy from Blood Ties. He’s just the perfect blend of physical attractiveness, witty banter, and those soulful eyes. Plus he has a very wry sense of humor, is very sensitive, and doesn’t actually kill people. How great is that?

Henry is the Prince (okay, Duke) of Vampires! (Henry Fitzroy is the illegitimate of England’s King Henry VIII).

  22. MaireBernise

Without a doubt it has to be Henry (swoon) Fitzroy, the aristocratic vampire created by Tanya Huff, and played with such dangerous charisma by Kyle Schmid in the TV series ‘Blood Ties’.

  23. Hey there,
I can’t believe you don’t have Kyle Schmid (Henry Fitzroy – Blood Ties) in your list! :-/
No doubt, he is the hottest vampire ever! ;-)

  24. Henry Fitzroy from the Blood Ties TV series.
